I've been here too long. I'm literally stuck here. I hope that I will receive a new offer soon. On the other hand, newbies are staying shorter and shorter. Have you noticed that too? Recently, one person left after only couple of weeks here. This is something that management should be concerned about.

The job straight s u c k s that's why who the heck wants to deliver heavy stuff all day . When they return inside you have to call a bunch of low life's all day and then you never reach their goals they want from you because they are impossible and you been on the road all day . Place is a trash job plus you can make 17 a hour a freaking anywhere plus the stresse ain't worth it all all . The disrespect from managers is just out of hand completely disregard for anyone but the number. You could have a dying family member and they are like so still coming in right ..

Well that's what happens when you have a district manager forcing you to get these sales you will do anything to get them fake or not to please him then return them when thay are due . The economy is soft people won't buy unless they really need something. To say you want a bunch of sales on a day is just a laughable matter this company sounds d-mb . Are they even aware of what is going on in the world ? They are expensive should just save for it be better off save yourself thousands possibly.
My brother worked for this company for 3 years he quit its been about 3 weeks now . He used to tell me horror stories working here everything from crazy goals they want in collecting past due people to the sales goals . He's been denied a vacation 5 times never let him take time off so he just called out until he had no time then quit least he was smart and got paid for the time they wouldn't let him use . I remember he said the dm came in one day said his son didn't matter and go find someone to pick him up from school when he was sick wouldn't let him leave . This business is really bad to work for he said like it's got to be you're last resort type job . I remember him mad one night over that auto pay they wrote him up because he could only sign up 2 of the 6 sales sometimes he couldn't get anyone on it like it's his fault just the same when he was calling his people that were due he would hate Saturday people wouldn't pay and they blame him most crazy stories I've ever heard in my life .
The most valuable asset the money makers the employees and they treat them like garbage wonder why stock is down .

Place like this ain't worth it . People need a mental day just from the bullsh-t this job does to someone should do 4 day work weeks probably have less people call out . Ever since that mitch took over running the place into the ground the rest of the way .. Company has the most unhappy employees I've ever seen

Site is getting lively yeah buddy glad people are telling their true feelings everyone should quit !! Don't ever work for a company that don't care about you ! Rent a center doesn't care about anyone your a number .I worked for this company until covid hit .
Look at there rent a center corporate reviews every single person gave it a 1 star .No one likes this company mitch and his ridiculous sales quota . I quit this company almost a year ago no one wants to buy stuff or work for this company it's a joke. Reading all these posts and looking at everything stock,they weren't doing great back then don't see a good long term at ALL FOR THIS COMPANY.... I think even their stock is smoke and mirrors a word used many times with this company..
I am from New Hampshire and same bullsh-t here place just is horrible. Good to know the fact it's just not my store or my boss this I guess is how the ceo trains the dms or whatever way it works .
My apologies for not reading NY person post, you are correct ALL rac is the same because the top guy and his people all manage like him. If he managed different the Company would be different but a snake is still a snake regardless if it sheds its skin.
NY person is way off, the Company I work is very different from rac. When sales are down or the store is not doing so good we stand as a team and fix it, no dm cussing and for sure no rd or vp threats. I make 2/3 of what I made before at but its worth it to have weekends off, done by 3pm with no rd txting me and when I'm done I'm done for the day. When I go on vacation they say see you when you get back not harrassing me to be on conf calls when I am on vacation. My family, health and sanity are worth 20k less per year, maybe no new car but who cares I like going to work and for sure I don't have to impress anyone with my new car. GL

I work in a Connecticut store the dm is straight trash talks to people like they are below him just found this site everything is true on here . Making people feel good about there jobs and encouraging people rather then constantly putting people down might get a better outcome in your sales just saying ! The way you speak to people when your a leader affects every aspect of the job store moral everything and constantly harassing people though texts all day is the most annoying part never let people do there jobs make them feel bad about themselves cuz you got 5 sales and not 10 like he wanted never a good job you put alot of effort in makes you feel like your never good enough it's gotten real bad last 4 months me and 4 other employees are all talking about leaving finding other jobs I know they are all applying elsewhere I started to as of recent shame it's come to this but no one is happy here at all even picking up stuff in other stores people talk 2 years here was enough for me
Look out they are pinching pennies, they will pinch you next, you dont matter to rac. Rac mgmt does not know how to turn a profit(they got rid of profit makers).
This next week would be a great time to walk off the job, trust me previous employment rac does nothing for your resume! Rac is looked as bottom feeder jobs because of how they are viewed by many people due to their business practices. You can decide for yourself if they are an ethical Company...
I too feel like they are on their last legs from everything I am seeing and hearing in meetings the way the higher ups are acting.
I remember when covid hit we were all told to act like nothing is happening and no ppe for months put I remember the lady on the web site with a rac mask never seen anything like that in the stores lost alot staff quiting they were sending us into homes that's how much they care about you !
They are losing a ton of money and want 40 sales for this new sales event the dm is so bad swearing at us calling us names even like why the f would i want to do anything extra for you . I freaking totally agree they are dying a super so death they are trying to save money anywhere they can they stripped stores of there water in the office cut trucks down in some stores to just 1 sending jobs over seas took service away closed all that down cut staff down told us to turn the ac and lights off at night where they once didn't care they wanted the show room lighted up took over time away . They want all these sales for this event got to be on conference calls if it's low and they you get yelled at by the dm I am so sick of this place everyone in the entire store is actively searching for another job people are stealing left and right cuz that whack system they use now and yell and put you down when asked about why is your credit high something you have no real control over they pay if they want they open there door if they want i was reading how everyone is cutting back on spending so but rac wants all these sales they will be a bunch of fake ones then the day thay are due you will have a bunch of returns this company is so unrealistic to what's going on in the world people don't want this over priced trash if it was double the price I find that even more reasonable then what rac does 4 or 5 times the retail price nothing is SAME AS CASH PRICE IN THE STORE NOTHING it's to trick the people who don't know anything
I feel bad for all those still at rac, its a dying company. If you look at Aarons they dont have half the number of unhappy coworkers posting on this website, wonder why? Is it that servant leadership rac is always preaching about? I think its all the cheating, manipulating, blind eye turning cussing upper mgnt. GL!
Field get ready because as of Tuesday 9/6 if you call the Payroll Department, you will be talking to a rep from India. Today the Payroll Department at the home office has been laid off. Next Friday is Inventory payables last day as well.

For those of you on here wanting to quit rac, there is good news! The job market is wide open and really a few dollars at job you like is well worth it. rac is a bad Company to work for, pay close attention to all the threats after labor day hits. Dm will be at home, rd for sure will at home and for rest of upper mgmt they probably already started the ling weekend. Where does that leave you? Oh wait you are always closed on Sundays! Do yourself a favor leave rac and save your life.
We are all tired of this job worn me down to nothing! Trying to leave myself honestly can't wait to ! Love coming back seeing everyone in the ac and eating but I am busting my a-s out there !

I’ve been here almost 4 & 1/2 years & it’s gotten to the point where I’ve had mental breakdowns. I like most people haven’t received anything to show appreciation for the hard work & loyalty I’ve given to this company. I’ve seen countless people worked like slaves, treated like sh-t & given scraps that they have no other choice but to quit. Honestly whenever a new person comes in or a coworker is thinking of leaving, I gladly encourage them to get out of this job ASAP.
I’ll admit, I could’ve (more like should’ve) left this job but the pay was what kept me on. But no amount of money is worth your mental or physical stability.
It’s come to a point where I was promoted to a Credit Manager & I was taught nothing about extensions or any neat tricks to do my job. I still got pulled out of the store to do deliveries & other things. Never was I able to do my job I was promoted to. Then they brought in a new girl or two & there’s a romantic conflict of interest going on (A whole other story). And sure enough they started letting the new girl do my Credit Manager job & slowly pushed me to the side to be their Go-To guy for any little thing they need. It has been exhausting being the reliable worker, while everyone else slacks off or gets special treatment cos they’re pretty much on their knees for the boss. That seems to be the only way to make it in this job… :/
I’ve brought up my problems to my manager but like me, it was pushed to the side. Honestly it felt like he was telling me what I wanted to hear & no actual solutions, just so he could get me back on the horse to work.
So I’m currently looking for anything else but this job. I wish I could afford to quit right away but I can’t but I know that this was a lesson learned.
Those dms get promoted and all of a sudden they think are all tough and can fight, lol ill slap down a dm if they talk to me like a rd too. No man talks to me that way, we are adults so act like it.
I quit this place today sent me for a delivery to a 3rd floor with a sofa I struggled and no one even bothered to offer help cause the last guy quit the other day and no one ever stays at this place didn't even say good job or nothing started asking me why my credit is high because I spent almost 3 hours doing this 1 delivery by myself I said look you call that sh-t yourself my dude and bounced no consideration whatsoever f that place take that 17 bucks shove it up your a s s I can call that route till I am blue in the face I didn't do those sales ain't no one picking up the phones or texts oh 1 more thing that whole close a hour early that made me take a long lunch everyday and still stay to 7 it's a lie about improving the co workers life don't believe nothing no managers say to you its all a lie from the lousy dm all the way to the store managers that dm tho got a mouth on him swears at us acts like he wants to hit us when he talk to u raises his hands to you I would have loved for that guy to hit me the dm I would have sued the heck out this company straight up no respect no class at all that's what this company is its almost a 100 out today and being talked to like a dog wasn't flying at all
One of the worst places you can work is this place . Harassing customers daily for their payments then we need to sell to them the next week approval system gives out way to much credit these people can't afford even 1 item at 19.99 a week it's crazy .Don't see a bright long term for this company at all none of the stores are doing good !
Ge-z heard of this site checked it out and have to say agree with everyone on here . Only been with this place about 6 months and already looking for another job .I feel they are desperate to save their business and renting to anyone like stated earlier by someone else when calling sales leads it's mainly past due people your trying to sell to and web leads usually are skips or people with like the worst payment history and were approved once approved your supposed to get them on automatic payments half fight over it till you lose the sale or they take it and take themselves right off soon as it's in there home over half the sales for the week are people trying to steal there is no way to get them to pay ontime at all you rent to people who are the worst and expect a ontime payment. Custeromer love the free events they come in and just steal good luck with that first payment then when it's 5 or 10 down events thru want 85 inch tvs or ps5 and dissappear collection office always has a new guy in it every month almost they all quit .

Store are practically giving stuff away way to rac sink your own ship for you're quantity over quality sales now your losing and expect your people to clean this mess up ain't happening. Old school application ,scrap that worthless decision engine trash and salvage what your can before you collapse and sink the rest of the way !
Well I feel like customers are getting pi---d we call the same person every other day on the sales list like they changed their mind in a day . It's repetitive job slt contains past dues alot even had some skips for some reason in there I don't know what's that's about but .Credit is high because there is so much pressure on sales you sale to anyone despite your own better judgment. It really puts a strain on the current customers to the point were they now just swear at us or hang up .People will come when they are ready and actually need something.
I left 4 months ago after being there 10 years . I myself seen 8 store managers and countless cars,sales managers and forget about delivery specialists if I could estimate have to be in the ten years about 85 people come and go it got so bad I didn't even ask people their name no more some last just 1 day a week maybe a month and some 8 months never the same person more then a year ..
