What is the definition of engineering unemployment? Why to invest in STEM when companies cutting in bulk?
Guys who getting cut.. I recommend you watch job posting from FORD if they get a cheep H1B sue them for fraud! Even in 24 months you can do that I asked a lawyer!
You can ask for up to 20 year of your last salary according to him!
Companies push for H1B just to cut cost. We have engineers just need living salary that is the problem.

You mo--ns ARE aware to qualify for an H1B you WILL have at least a master's degree? There is a country wide cap on how many H1B's there can be per year. So if you are not up to date in your field you are out.
I also don't like it when migration has to compensate for a lack in the work force. But our fat and incompetent children will never study anything that is complicated or technological.
Imagine "Been at Ford almost 2 decades, never saw an H1B worker that impressed me.". Yes, an H1B worker with a Ph.D. degree would want to impress a guy who stays with ford for 2 decades (which pretty much indicates his incompetence) who probably does not even have a college degree. That makes sense.
Yes, blame the h1b workers. I am on H1B and i do ML/AI (just gave my notice though). Can any of you do that?
H1B are feeding at the t*t which provides nourishment in the form of HTHD salary (2X our raises and 2X our bonuses). They do the same work we do and have basic entry level skills.
Here is a link to a former Microsoft employee's experience with H1B workers:

Bosses like them because they don't talk back, like we do. They do mainly entry-level work for about the same wages or slightly more. You can review the actual H1B data (wage, job title, etc) Ford hires at the link above.
@odm+1ievRGWJ - I was in BIC for awhile and saw a couple postings for H1B positions, but no general data.
Been at Ford almost 2 decades, never saw a H1B worker that impressed me. I'm sure there's good ones, but those I worked with were either technically lacking, poor communication, or both. Additionally, "offshoring" anything technical has proven time and time again to be a failure, unless lower quality support/service for lower cost (although the cost has risen significantly) was the goal.
ll6 depends on H1B worker to get the work done. While the w folks think ford owes them a pay check and they loaf around.
Lol...
You dont want to replace a h1b worker. That would be your worst nightmare.
@ igr Thank you for posting that link.
Where have you been? Under a rock. Ford do sponsor H1 visas in the HTHD area as you lame ducks can’t handle advanced tech. In other blue areas on a case by case basis.
Ford does not sponsor H1B.

Can anyone from HR or management comment about the post from @odm?
By law, all companies are required to post their H1B hiring data in an area where employees can see the data.
Has anyone ever seen such a board?

PERM Fake Job Ads defraud Americans to secure green cards
"Immigration attorneys from Cohen & Grigsby explain how they assist employers in running classified ads with the goal of NOT finding any qualified applicants, and the steps they go through to disqualify even the most qualified Americans in order to secure green cards for H-1b workers."
