Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

That's insane

Getting rid of excellent employees but keeping mediocrity, what does that say about an organization? This tells me that the leadership does not have a vision, that they do not care about the future of this place, and that we can only expect things to get worse here.

They have no vision. Not great at anything.

There is no actual leadership or vision here. Just layers and layers of uselessness in management. Every issue has a spreadsheet solution. Nodding heads.

Classic sign that the bank's leadership is better suited to being managers as opposed to being in leadership roles, the payments division has struggled with leadership problems since 2014, with an overabundance of micromanagement rather than true leadership looking forward, building the personnel and assets to be competitive in the payments space.
