RSU Quantity Rumors?

Anyone have any legit rumors on the number of RSUs CL 25 O will get?

This is a real question, but I expect this will trigger a fair amount of vitriolic tomato throwing in the comments.

Remember RSU and vesting periods are about retention, even for CL 26, 160 sh over 7 years results in 800 unvested shares at the end of 7 years. If you quit you forfeit $80000 at $100/sh. This amount of unvested shares increase as you get promoted to higher CL and more RSU. If is targeted at the top 2 quintiles to dissuade resignations and to make it expensive for companies to hire away top talent

As a 26 receiving consistent top rankings I was receiving 160 RSUs per year in the program before it was rolled out to everyone. I’d guess those of us in that situation won’t be getting an increase in RSUs granted. I’d imagine the new grants for everyone are smaller.

@ Sky high stacks

You're missing the 3 and 7 year waiting period for the RSU's to vest. Care to guess what the stock price will be in 2026?

If I’m getting 50 RSUs at $90/share and 25% goes to taxes, that’s still several thousand dollars. Am I missing something?

The RSU’s are a joke until you hit CL 30. Back when I was a 28, my boss said, “here, take your wife out to dinner in 3 years…just skip the wine!” They don’t get that stock awards build vested interest in company performance. The whole company would be cheering on Guyana and Permian for every new discovery/huge well. Building loyalty and excitement means nothing to them. Now get back to work on your PPT for your CL 27 boss to take credit for or you’ll be NI next year!

Unless you are HR, I don’t think they have announced the new scheme. …and unclear whether they will.

The 26s have received 160 so I would guess close to that, but they’ll need to be more generous to make an impact.

OP, congratulations on your good year. Although the vesting period is long, you can expect to be on a good career journey. If you continue racking up O ranking, it probably goes up to 500 RSUs per year from what I've read.

My guess - probably 120 RSUs at your CL, projecting from historical data shared here.

The vesting schedule mentioned by the previous poster is accurate. I think you do get the dividends on full vesting from the beginning though.

Full disclosure: I am quoting other threads here - no award myself yet.

Probably 160 max or less. Remember it take 3 years for HALF to fully vest then 7 years for the other half (assuming things stay the same). At the lower CL levels it’s not much to get excited about.

Not enough. You have to wait for them to vest as well before you can cash out into a stock that actually performs.
