I attend all meetings because I don't want to jeopardize my job (which I still care about) by being absent. However, I see that many here resort to coming up with good excuses just to avoid meeting madness. What can be the consequences of avoiding meetings, can I really jeopardize my job if I don't attend sometimes?

You had one shot at greatness and you picked “do I have to go to meetings”. Are you high?
Results can vary from being promoted to being fired. Opening yourself up for a narrative you may not like if someone has it out for you
