I agree about the computer issue. I had no clue I would be impacted but was. I had, nor do have any intent of ever sending out anything company related. However, I would have liked to get a few pictures and my list of contacts, passwords, etc. Oh well, I changed passwords, and guess just lost the contact list and photos....as frustrating as the way it was handled.
They will continue to farm out things and fire staff. That's the "new" Ford. Should have seen the writing on the wall when they took the Rivian platform and built an F150 on top of it (and dubbed it the Lightning). Ford can't design their own stuff without dozens of recalls. So this is the "way forward". Ironic!
Highly recommend to everyone still left to get any documents, personal items and contact info you want to retain NOW. You will not have time once let go. Luckily I prepared for weeks in advance, but on Monday when I was let go I had about 2 hours on the ford network and everything was shutdown. All file transfers have been completely blocked. You won’t be able to do anything including contacting your peers to let them know you’ve been released.
