Honeywell rescinds WFH exemption

Just got an email this morning from one of the K**ens in HR. As of September 19th, anyone on a WFH exemption must return to the office on the flex schedule.

I guess the morale suppression team got wind that working from home was retaining people and HON just can't tolerate having happy employees. What better way to encourage attrition than to just keep pi----g these people off. I get that we won't get any sympathy from the people who have been coming into the office this entire time, but let's face it; working remote is here to stay and more companies are doing it. Honeywell loves to smell its own farts and brag about how cutting edge they are when in reality, they are living in the stone age. I think this will continue to drive talent out while retaining those MSU and ASU grads HON loves to hire.

Well, well…looks like they’ll be firing me soon. I’m ok with that. They are doing what I haven’t had the strength and courage to do - light the fire on my job search.

Honeywell is the next Enron. We al know this. Pumping up results with some financial engineering is not long term sustainable.

used to be perdue and stanford. All they would hire, wouldnt touch ASU. Seems there were a lot of perdue and stanford grads in management. alumni tend to want to hire from their alma mustards to curry favor with their home schools

Nothing wrong with graduates from those two schools, but when you look at the hiring of college grads, there's clearly a bias to hiring from them over other schools. It's either a bias, or grads from other schools wouldn't waste their time at this place. Who knows.

What’s wrong with ASU and MSU graduates? Just curious.

Yea they complain and boo hoo hoo about losing employees and having a hard time trying to hire people while at the same time treating existing employees like dirt. It's obvious to me they want good people to leave so they can try and backfill them with Michigan state and ASU grads for low pay. They don't know any better since they are new to the workplace so they will tolerate lots of mistreatment.

When asked directly at the last HR meeting what Honeywell was going to do to retain employees, because other aero companies offered 9 80’s and work from home for non touch employees, she said “we’ll be coming out with something in the next couple of weeks.” This is the best they can do? “You can keep status quo and go in, deviate your schedule by 2 hours or volunteer to become a temp or part time worker-losing wages and health care”.

Obviously NOT wanting to retain employees and hasn’t since they took over Sperry.
