Outsourcing to HCL was the absolute worst decision they ever made, and they have made some incredibly stupid ones. If people knew the knowledge level of the employees who are maintaining all of the private data they would be outraged. But hey, if it saves Ascension a few dollars who cares about the patients? Typical christians.

Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if they go for cheaper even if they lose quality.

I heard a rumor of this a while back but it never came to pass, unless they feel they can bring in others for cheaper or do the job better it doesn't make a lot of sense.

When would they be letting desktop people go?

HCL is making more than other market players. Ascen has worked with them and they are flexible but HCL won’t go anywhere anytime soon.

If any desktop guys that stuck around. they will soon be let go. Select ones.

Ascension pays below market value. Go find better employment before they announce

What other cr---y company can they move their business to? They are already aligned with TechM, HCL, and Accenture. They use Deloitte, but Deloitte, from my somewhat limited experience with working with them, actually screens their people and makes sure they know what they are doing (unlike the other three), so they charge more! And Leidos can't fill the positions they have open now - they have all the DoD contracts and are still begging to find talent (have to be US Citizens).

All of the former AT staffers have found better gigs. And really - what stateside professional would trust Ascension anymore for long-term employment prospects? The word is out they pay squat and there is less than zero in the way of job security.

Ascension's gonna have to stick with HCL/TechM. Really, what choice do they have. There's literally no one for them to hire back except whatever FS guys have stuck around. There's no way they will put in the effort to fill all of these positions. Even if they attempted, who would train them? The real question to me is, how much more money is HCL/TechM going to ask for? Because there's no way HCL knew what they were getting wrapped up in here.

They will probably ride it out at this point, 1-3 additional years from what I understand.
