Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Seems like we are not going to get what our union expects

Strike will only make things worse. Maybe even give us less than 4% when said and done. Be careful what we ask for. You may think we get backpay. That backpay will be sucked up by the increase in medical we didn't pay for, for the last 5 yrs. Just a thought

If the machine had it's way it would give us all 4 inches while looking us in the eyes.
No thanks, I'll hold out for something better or nothing at all.

If any of you that post about the peb contract recommendations would actually read it there would be no need to post all these guesses about medical absorbing any net raise or back pay being effected by retroactive increases in medical. You are wrong. You are posting based on emotions or fears and not facts. Go read the peb recommendations or go to the union website and look at the FAQ regarding those FACTS.

In addition to the increase in medical, don't forget about the union dues which are sure to go up. How much? Who knows. No one has talked about that. The unions have to take their cut.
