This all falls under Bill Fords direction of slowly unwinding this late great company for the family to exit. Throw in the loosing Lions and maybe VW will bite?
52 recalls. Jim gets almost $500k in compensation per recall. You can't make this stuff up.
The family has no where else to go. Maybe you can provide them suggestions, where you get paid at least five times the going rate, with No accountability.
My future vehicle purchases will only be ICE vehicles. Five years ago i would have purchased a new Chrysler or a Ford as i could get a family discount but the move toward electric and recalls might drive me to buy used or Japanese this time. This decision is difficult as one of the aforementioned Co's provided me a pension. I don't want to bit the hand that feeds so please produce vehicles that people want not what the government tells you to do!
I'll buy foreign before I ever buy another Ford. Ford is so into connectivity and software to try to squeeze car owners for every penny that they can't make safe, reliable cars anymore.
We picked up a new 2022 escape lease and 6 days afterward got a recall for engine fires. The dealer told us be sure not to park it in the garage till it was serviced. I am sorry but it is just pure foolishness and irresponsibility on the part of the leadership of that company. Look at all the damn recalls. And yet the top pompous leadership is not sent packing… Sorry -gonna vote with our wallets next time…
