Even those who survived the latest culling are not the winners in this situation. Yes, we still have a job but at what price? Most of us have lost people from our teams, which means that our workload is about to increase significantly. I was already overworked before this, so I have no idea how I'm going to make it with even more added to my plate. Other than the management, we are all the screwed party in this.

They want you to pickup more work and compensate you less! It's as simple as that.
They let go of three people in my area. I get to do their work and mine. I agree. I'm not sure keeping my job is better than being handed a severance package. My personal life will be non existent now.
You need to plan taking your pto, not stay on call all year. Either that or file a complaint with Department of Labor.

I have been on call since January first. No one to cover so I can take vacation. So by years end I will have over 8 weeks of vacation. Which they will gladly take on January first of 2023. TMO will drive us all into the ground then replace us with contractors. It's pretty heartless to layoff loyal 20 year employees and keep contractors they trained earlier this year. They thought the contractors were there to help. Not to replace them.
Remember, it's just business, right? If you come in at a certain scheduled time, make sure you leave no more than 8 hours later or whatever your scheduled to work. Don't forget to take your lunch and breaks. Make sure you mentally clock out too. I've always been an overachiever for TMO and now those days are gone. I will have to learn how to follow my own advice, too. This past week I've done a whole lot of nothing so it might not be as hard as it sounds. Give it a try!
