I'm useless today.

I keep waiting for tomorrow to be over. I'm a remote employee, +100k, over 50. How fu---d am I?

Being over 50 has no bearing on whether or not you can fulfill a role in another company. You are letting your own self-perception get in the way. I'm betting if you polished your resume and started applying, you'll find there's a company out there that would be happy to have your talents.

If anything, what FB doesn't understand, is that people are the real investments. People are unique and hard to find. The longer they are around, the harder they are to replace. Looking at salaries and benefits alone doesn't illustrate the true value of a single employee. There are immeasurable quantities like experience, potential, motivation, availability or skill level, that just because they can't be quantified on a spreadsheet, doesn't mean they don't exist.

So don't feel useless. If you get laid off from this dumpster fire of a culture, consider it a gift and a new beginning. Hit the ground running and find x number of jobs to apply in a day. Be sure you don't limit yourself to the FinTech industry, you might find your skills translate well to other realms.

As for this forum, I'm reading lots of speculation, and speculation is all it is. The rest is others just fueling that speculation with comments. So perhaps Monday nothing has changed, or everything has changed. It's basically the same as any Monday at Fiserv. That said, see you tomorrow!

Not that it should come as a surprise, but the plan was to announce 9/30 or Monday, but of course this is all being rushed together last minute with hoops and reports and approvals and negotiations and pleading. It's coming but this MC can't hit a date, even for this. It's frightening how slapdash the approach is to these events. Wreckless... Prob need to wait for quarter end badge reports!

I don’t think anything will be happening tomorrow. My guess is if this didn’t go down on Friday or last week then they are not in a rush to do it tomorrow however I would guess that something will happen this week with a term date or 10/15 OR end of year for those who do not take IC roles

Likely Wed this week for some BUs. I fought it and now realize that it’s of no use. Management is resolute to arbitrarily cut no matter the impact to its clients.

Anyone that isn't using their remaining time looking for and negotiating another position is not doing the proper diligence.

So many decent people are effected by the fear and randomness of the RIF mood swings issued from Broadway. It's gut wrenching. Not to sound like a preachy self-help book, but its very clear that individuals need to step back and take accountability for themselves to find path forward. This company lacks leadership, vision, loyalty and even decency at this point. Badge in for your 40 hours, but spend the extra hours elsewhere finding your next role outside of the current clown show. You can't make yourself or your teams "safe" and the sooner you accept that awful truth, the sooner you can save yourself. The company now preys on good intentions to milk more and more decent people without reciprocity. Has any CEO been more truly hated? There is life and relief outside. Do a gut check on a Sunday afternoon...who's looking forward to badging in tomorrow for Fearless Leader?
