Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

So much negativity

So many of you can't wait to write something bad about Boeing. You are gleeful when something happens that gives you more ammunition against the company, and yet all of you are still working here. Are you all a bunch of masochists? Why else would you still be here?

Left this place decades ago to work at another company, which I am glad I did. Seeing B going down in flames is a truly amazing with failed mgmt. B used to be admired across the globe, now if I bring up I used to work here in the past, most will ask what happen to what used to a great co. My 2 word response is, corporate greed.
If OP thinks there is too much negativity, OP may not work here long and did not experience may successful programs in the past. So, if your only experience do far is in this muck, it may seem the standard. Bit oh how far has the mighty fallen, due to greed. As one already said, the Max should have been done but a brand new plane instead...again due to greed. Imagine buying a new car today with 1960 tech except for a new display, but still have legacy suspension and no new tech features. Would be buy it?

The only negatively is how Boeing performs and how they have destroyed so many lives to enrich the lives of their greedy corrupt executives.

The negativity is brought on by the pi-s pour management decisions made by senior leadership. For the most part employees pride themselves on working for Boeing and making quality aircraft. Only another brown nose manager would reply well played sir.

Do you have any idea of the tens of thousands of people employed at Boeung who the executives have Royally screwed over?

First they shafted all the Boeing engineers in Wichita by selling out to spirit and stopping their pension accrual benefits. Purposely to shaft them on their pensions.

Then they moved the 787 line from Everett to Charleston so they could lay off 30,000 people and again shaft on their pension benefits so they could no longer accrue benefits.

The 30,000 additional people they laid off for Covid it was just the icing on the cake. This company has systemically went through and tried to layoff anyone who had a pension to stop them from accruing further benefits.

And I won’t even go into the disaster the 737 max was. But doing the max derivative instead of a new aircraft design was motivated solely by greed.

The people running this company have destroyed it. It would be better if the company was taking over and the entire executive suite replaced.

I escaped Boeing years ago. Anyone still working at Boeing must be an imbecile or a greedy and corrupt pu-s bag. In any event, may much negative karma affect you and yours for condoning and enabling the death of so many people.

That's correct. Boeing is a very negative place. We are just riding this poorly managed bloated whale of a company into the ground and taking as much as we can, just like the execs are doing.
