Everyone wfh Monday or call in sick
I was in the June layoff. I got a meeting invite from my boss to “catch up.” When HR showed up on the call, I figured what was coming.
I should have said that when I was called by my manager…that was a number years ago, not related to what may be going on now.
I was called out of the blue by my manager, who said he’s there with (redacted HR name). I said to myself…”so, this is how it happens”.
FYI - Some employees are given a "working notice" where they continue to work for a few weeks to several months before their official layoff notice. Some employees are cut off right after the convention with HR. If you have any critical information you need from email/workday, get it asap. Also if you downloaded the Fiserv application on your cell phone they also wipe out our phone and reset it. Do not give Fiserv access to your personal cell phone at all costs.
Contractors already got calls from the consulting company that Friday was their last date. Not sure how employees are being handled
If you get a meeting from your manager on Monday for a "catch-up" appointment it is probably a meeting with HR. FYI - Generally HR requests a separate meeting invite for the HR rep giving the layoff notice, so it's not 'obvious' to the employee. Good luck to everyone on Monday!
Wish the get the show on the road and stop making threats!
