Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

When will the board hold JD accountable?

The quarterly results were horrendous. Employee morale is at an all-time low. And the stock has slaughtered. At what point does the board insist on a leadership change? Their patience has to be running thin. JD has been an abject failure and the CDA strategy has clearly failed. Enuf is enuf.

Leadership change you say? Check out the tweet thread on this

@Nike founder Phil Knight is throwing just absurd amounts of money into Oregon elections to oppose Democrats:

GOP gov candidate Christine Drazan: $1m

Unaffiliated gubernatorial candidate Betsy Johnson: $3.75m

[Pro GOP] Bring Balance Back to Salem PAC: $2m

Total: $6.75 million

Maybe he is only doing what the board is asking from him? Clean the ship, get rid of the expensive old people en get stock price back at a level where it is affordable. Sounds like a highly successful CFE for JD this year. Last time a CEO (BP) was messing up, MP en PK got rid of him within a year so there must be a plan behind this (I hope)

He is, and always will be the "Fall Guy", as he was supposed to be, and always was intended to be, I mean what are Consultants ever really good for anyway, TK sunsets him, as he must, to earn his bones, and he may learn a lot by doing so , I mean Mrs. Donahooooo is a tough Cookie to negotiate with.

MP will steady the ship......some....that Disney job was not worth the trouble, but somebody needs to come up with a plan.

Meanwhile, the Knight Family coffers, are JASPERTED, to the tune of a GRAT 11 Billion, which is still a lot of money, maybe enough to buy PHK's beloved State a BJ.

CDA was an excuse to lay off tenured employees. Too much talent lost and created a downward spiral of employee satisfaction and had led to resignation of other tenured employees. While the idea of CDA sounds good, the execution and people targeted thru being org’d out were the ultimate downfall.

@yjp Great, we got some good numbers but no talent anymore that can actually do something with them and the culture that made the company what it is went down the drain. A job well done then.

@yjp+1Marketing is a hot mess. Not sure what org you think is working in marketing? NA is a sinkhole across the board. CDM is a joke. CC teams don’t know what they are doing and half are getting moved out to cities so we can keep talent there.
