Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Have you noticed that attrition has slowed?

In my department, people leaving has finally slowed down a bit. That's great, considering I don't know how we would continue to function if the best employees continued to seek happiness in other companies. Meanwhile, I couldn't be more overwhelmed with work. What is the situation in your departments like regarding attrition?

Have you noticed other companies freezing hiring?

Why would people leave when the economy is tanking? We can all phone in our jobs and wait for the next round of layoffs.

Same here OP. Seems like we’ve finally bottomed. Or at least we can hope. We had a few of our best people leave in the last year. Lack of advancement opportunities was the primary reason. You can’t expect your best people to stay when those people are working hard but don’t see any commensurate benefit or reward for doing so. Pats on the back are great and everything but those don’t pay the bills or advance careers.

It’s a mass exodus over here. More hi-pos leaving everyday. People who need jobs are still hanging on but they ain’t happy about it. You are drowning in work? I’ve been told to take my time getting used to all the reporting changes.
