Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Not everything is abuse

Humana is toxic and it has toxic managers, but I've noticed people who were simply asked by their boss to do their job later act like he committed an offense of the highest order. There was no yelling, no insults being hurled, just a boss asking an employee to do something that should have been done already. Some people have become too entitled and believe they are above criticism.

@7pdo+1j32DrY8, what? Who said anything about women? You need to chill. Yes, women and men should be paid to the standard of the position but you looking for a fight is exhausting.

@5oqc+1j32DrY8. I refuse to sit back and keep my mouth shut, just because I'm a woman, I deserve equal rights as my male counterparts. That's not complaining, it's called being a woman, being strong and constantly fighting for what's right, not for what you thinks we deserve.

It's people like you who are narrow minded that think we're complaining when it's a much larger issue culturally as well as socially. Open your eyes and stop pretending it doesn't exist. This will affect your daughter, niece, or female friends. Try to have empathy instead of pointing fingers and saying negatively that we're complaining. I will never quit fighting for what is right for women or any other rights that are being offended. Learn from mistakes instead of repeating. That's the only way it will get better.

In regards to the constant layoffs... that's a problem with senior leadership, workers cannot take it personally... and honestly... it will be a blessing in disguise from this organizations horrible culture.

It's hard to say Humana is promoting diversity and inclusion when they are taking a personal holiday and proclaiming they are giving us a Martin Luther King Jr Day. This was an established national holiday since 1983. Sorry, this organization is missing the mark in so many was. Diversity and inclusion means equal pay for equal work. Having people of color in management, etc.

From my own personal experience here at Humana, I was "promoted" to management without a raise. I guarantee if a man was in my position, that would not have happened. Even after bringing this up to leadership, nothing is being done. The glass ceiling is real and so are those "lady bucks" that we are forced to earn.

2ggy+1j32DrY8 — Glad you told this annoying person off. This is the same person that threw a tantrum because they were upset that Humana was promoting inclusion and diversity (which is an amazing thing), and then started getting upset with Humana’s “woke culture” (not even sure what that means, but it sounds racist and elitist). When people mentioned that their viewpoints wasn’t okay and unacceptable, they became upset when their post was deleted. So annoying.

Humana needs to get rid of do-nothing know-nothing leaders. My leader does absolutely nothing. When I told him I didn’t feel appreciated, as a way of telling me how appreciated I was, he told me he had been riding my coattails for years. When I pointed out he takes the credit for work I do, he said that is a perk of being a manager and all managers take the credit for their employees’ work. (Umm, no they don’t.) A friend in HR told me HR is very aware there are a lot of leaders like that at Humana and it has been a problem for years. Those do-nothing know-nothing leaders are the ones who need to be RIFed, but they will throw anyone under the bus to save their own a$$. For those of you who have good leaders, that’s great, I’m happy for you. Some of us aren’t so lucky. My leader is a lying lazy s-xist bully and an entitled white male, but he’s very good at brown-nosing his leader.

@1msx+1j32DrY8, bwahahaha. This is exactly the people who should get RIF’d. You have the freedom of speech at work all you want. What you don’t have, nor anyone has anywhere in ‘Merica, is freedom from repercussion of your “free speech”

Some people and managers have become so entitled that they feel they have the right to ignore the first amendment and censor their fellow co-worker's right to free speech. As an example, any anti Humana sentiment expressed on this site is immediately censored by covert personnel

There is a managerial level at Humana where you are allowed to do just as you please, below that you have to follow the HR line and blow rainbows and kisses in your interaction with the teams. If Senior Leadership were held to the same standard,Humana would look very differently and the Board would have a much greater understanding of what associates really feel.

You’re the boss that employees have complaints against.
