Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

For sale

Deep cuts can precede a sale of a business or part of the business. Just saying.

This is definitely the plan, in my opinion. Consolidate the many cores (happening now), cut all the expenses to the bone (happening now), and sell off the AP business entirely. FD is a payments company - he could care less about AP. OFS was just a means to an end - FD was in heavy debt and needed Fiserv cash to offset.

@vfr+1j4FqcaR, when you mention Pineapple, who are you referring to? Not Pineapple Payments, I assume?

@vfr+1j4FqcaR Les Muma was not a founder of FIS. He is a member of the FIS board since 2013 but he was not part of the Organization prior to this. That is my understanding. Fiserv DID acquire a company called Florida Informanagement Services based in Orlando, FL in 1997 but that is not the same as the FIS that exists today.

The BU's will be spun off with their debit once Frank runs out bodies to chop. Gov Regulators won't care.

There is a risk the government would block the sale because there isn't enough competition.

FIS, Global, or maybe best of all Pineapple can acquire Fiserv for it's worth. I am thinking FIS is quite possible as it has the same founder i.e. Muma... Thinking from Muma's POV a customer is never lost as they ping-pong between FIS and Fiserv... Great strategy to keep filling in the pockets.
