I am looking external after spending my entire career at this sinking ship. What is the best way to get honest insight on the culture at other companies? (Assuming I do not know anyone who works/worked there)

The thing about large corporations is that culture can vary greatly between different departments, so that’s something to keep in mind too.
It might be worth checking out that Blind site? I’m not positive you can look at other company’s boards but people say good info is posted there
I've worked for 4 financial institutions and I can tell you that WF was, by far, the most toxic... In my opinion.
Follow them on LinkedIn to see employee and company posts. Check Glass Door for reviews, read the company social media feeds (and responses) and, of course, read their entry on this site.
