This has become the norm lately. I'm not sure if they're trying to get rid of me or if they genuinely don't know how much it takes to do certain things. Either way, it's driving me insane to the point that I'm considering leaving. Which could be me playing right into their hands, but I don't care all that much anymore.

tell them its unrealistic and that you wont make the deadline and that they need to reconsider their nonsense if they don't want a complete fail. tell it to them 20 times in 10 different meetings with different managers from different teams because they are stupid and don't get it when you tell it to them the first 19 times. eventually it dawns on them they are full of sh-t and you get a better deadline. at least in my experience
