Went back to look at the feed on the rumored CVX/XOM merger and it’s been deleted. Were a few insightful comments but it’s been removed. Why? Still posted on the CVX site. Maybe a hostile takeover.

If xom joined with chevron, it would be the end of chevron unless xom took their managers
Merger in such high profit times would not be well accepted.
If merger talks ongoing, they probably set a low oil price at which merger triggered.
