Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF employees get laid off because of scandal fines.

Facebook is laying off people because of bad VR investments. WF (partly) lays off people because of heavy fines due to the scandals, is my best guess. It’s amazing how different CEOs treat their people. Zuckerberg clearly said he goofed up because of the bad VR investment. I don’t think we hear anything from our CEO? Thoughts?

Yeah Zuck says he's sorry that he made a bad decision to expand too fast and now others bear the brunt of that. but he's still sitting there with his Billions, running the company, and still the same strategy, just slower/skinnied down.

I don't agree with everything about our current leadership BUT, they didn't make the decisions that sunk the company. They're just trying to clean up the toxic waste that the prior management criminals left behind.

So magnanamous of zuck... not.

“WF employees get laid off because of scandal fines.”

And WF leaders get laid as men, women and “others” get Harvey Weinsteined into s-x.

This company is filthy.

Barclays and Citi just laid off a bunch. Hope WF lays off most from India and Philippines.

We'll, it also has to do with Wells has more employees than competitors and makes less money. What do you think should happen? The Revenue per head was or is abysmal. It just took the scandal to shine a light on it.

isn't layoffs because of mortgage and our costs are too high?

also think that inflation is going to crush everyone. don't expect the 8% increase in base pay just because that's what is inflation when our costs are clearly too high.

Well, it’s obvious why mortgage related teams are getting laid off and that’s due to low demand.
Agreed. It would be nice if the CEO made an announcement why so many individuals are getting laid off.
Then again, secrecy is the name of the game in this industry.
