Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

They are eagerly waiting for a large number of people to leave

That would save money on severance pay and I still think that is the main focus now: to create enormous pressure and make as many people as possible leave voluntarily. Many will certainly do it, but there are many of us who would not want to miss out on the severance pay just like that, right?

Maybe Elon Musk will buy this company and fire everyone. If you attend around 30 hours of meetings a week and most of those have around 40 people, you are fired.

Yes. I will leave only with severance. Even if we leave it will be very difficult to find a job somewhere else. Hiring freezes are everywhere. It is better to stay back and get the severance if they want to get rid of us.
