Intel is down its own spiral. Even if I survive these cuts, I intend to leave very soon.
I don't think anyone has the desire to stay here for a long time and try to build a career (which is almost impossible)?

@1gmd+1jR2eeAH Bingo. The only people Intel pays competitively are the sinecure holders, bloviators and powerpoint charlatans who figured out how to excel at working at Intel. They have no reason to look for outside employment, except when they smell their caste/family/racial clique protection at Intel is about to disappear.
At this point, they infiltrate an agent into another company that does not have strict hiring reviews (AMD and MS come to mind), then the zerg rush begins.
The only people not seriously looking outside….know they are way overpaid and not worth this amount to another company.
This is the correct move. Unless you lack the critical assets to succeed at Intel (for example, the correct high caste or family relations in management), working at Intel is a total waste of time.
One thing I have picked up is that things can change quick in the semi biz
Is the a question in there somewhere?
