Chris just announced more actions to further streamline the company's operations. he conceited that share prices are not what they want them to be and that competitive threats along with supply chain issues have dragged down the companys efficiency. reading between the lines, it seems that layoffs are inevitable in multiple locations and that a consolidation of the company's real estate footprint is also on the horizon. lhx has found itself in a position unable to compete and unable to deliver on its contractual obligations. ultimately after multiple waves of layoffs, the company will begin selling off its assets.
L3Harris Greenville laid off around 100 employees 03-August-2023
Existing employment contracts including bargaining unit agreements will be honored because it would be a violation of federal law to breach them. But employees without a written contract will have no protection and can be terminated without notice or severance.
When will BTL Technologies take over IT services at L3HARRIS? How will this affect employee benefits and retirement benefits? Will BTL honor existing union contracts? How much will BTL control employees experience?
Clifton SAS will suspend work on SIRFC for 3 months. The program is already behind 4 years. IDECM is also behind schedule and over budget. All programs are behind. Substantial job reductions will occur as these contracts are all lost.
Any word if it will it be all of Corporate IT or some? They already announced Tier 1 and 2 of the helpdesk taken over by BTL. The rollout of tech cafe has a lot of people nervous as well as loss of confidence in leadership.
Corporate IT will be outsourcing certain department jobs to a few third party vendors by July of this year. The 3rd party vendor will decide whether or not you have a job. This way, L3Harris is not 'responsible' for any benefit payments or medical coverage.
Layoffs have just started in Londonderry
pretty sure there are layoffs coming
Just look at the macroeconomic landscape of America and the world. Downsizing has already started and it won’t stop until the bleeding of profits stops. The Hedgies who own half of the NYSE companies, including LHX, aren’t going to lose their clients money at the expense of retaining employees. Vevery company has over hired because we are part of the US GDP. We are all subservient to the GDP / debt of the US , which is compared to China’s GDP/debt ratio.
The layoffs in Clifton will begin as contracts are lost to other companies. This woke company has placed job skills secondary to diversity. The result is a diverse workforce who doesn't know what they're doing. Clifton is delinquent on every contract Security breaches have occurred and the business has an efficiency of just 57 percent. As experienced people have left in droves, their unskilled replacements have brought the business to its knees. Whether through attrition or layoffs, SAS is on its'death bed. If you're a job seeker, keep looking. If you work there, get out as soon as you can. A sad and slow end to what was a powerhouse in the industry has become a tragic joke.
There are on-going layoffs as work is drying up. There will be more as programs are completing their schedules and deliveries.
