Well I was out on TDI after surgery and then got a phone call and said oh were laying you off. They said because the position is being eliminated which is cr-p because there are people doing the same job that I was doing and I was there longer than them. So that's a slap in the face.
Here in NM, nurses and call reps from the patient service center were cut same day against WARN laws in which the cuts weren’t even reported to the state prior to help provide support to the members of our community who lost jobs. My friend/coworker is a single mom to 4 was included and left scrambling to pick up the pieces.

They just laid off 222 people in its community and state program due projected losses in 2025 due to Medicaid reimagined

Big saving is to cut the workers to the bones. Former CEO of UHG made $400M. This org. is top heavy result of nepotism. Check out some of the open req. for Sr. Mgr after mutinies lay-offs. In the CA/Pacwest region, many incompetent got promoted to VPs, Sr Director and Director who all came from the same former healthcare org. There are positions above this open req. (Sr technology mgr) of VP Sr Director and Director yet they can’t deliver. Let’s bring in another “victim” so their owns jobs are “safe”.. no checks and balances, the incompetent continued to thrive at management level.
United Healthcare/ Optum insight has been making billions of dollars and their stock prices have gone up. But, they(executives) will not pay their front line employees a decent wage for working. Every year the job expectations for customer service representatives keeps increasing. The AARP membership goal has increased three times in the last six months. But, this year the pay only increased by a little over 1%. United Healthcare/ Optum insight offers the worst health insurance to their Frontline employees. The insurance plans that they offer have very high deductibles. United Healthcare/ Optuminsight does not give a F**K about the front line workers. They hired over 400 representatives in the Philippines. American workers are being replaced.
There are talks of big savings being asked of each department, and it is to be kept confidential.
