Nokia to cut jobs in Finland - translation of press release published in Finnish
Nokia plans to continue its change process in Finland

3/5/2023 Espoo – Nokia plans to continue taking measures to reform the cost structure and reorganize operations in Finland as part of the program announced in 2021. Today, Nokia has invited personnel representatives in Finland to change negotiations, which are estimated to lead to a maximum reduction of 208 jobs. Decisions on possible personnel effects will be made when the negotiations have been completed. The plans concern all Nokia locations in Finland, but product development of system circuits (SoC) and the Oulu factory are not included in the change negotiations.

Nokia laying off 200+ employees from Finland. They want to save 600 million € by the end of 2023. Expect to see more layoffs from other locations.

Expect it to happen after the 1st quarter. Stock buybacks in place in the EU with another one on the way so this will most likely happen in North America. New logo is not enough. You can't polish a t**d. Workforce in US is as unmotivated as I've ever seen it. No 401k match, sh---y new health care plan and the raise they got last year didn't even cover inflation. Already seeing the brain drain as folks leave for companies that actually look after their employees.
