After 21 years with Raytheon, I got laid off. They seem to be keeping heritage UTC employees and laying off heritage Raytheon employees. It will be another failed merger.
I got laid off of the former corporate headquarters (Waltham, MA) Tuesday. No warning; no explanation, just, buh bye
At least 20 employees in our building yesterday, no warning at all. Some were very long time employees. Everyone is worried there will be more.

I have found very disturbing information about Raytheon. Space force Chance Saltzman gave billions of dollars from tax payers money to Lockheed Martin and Raytheon to build we-ponry for Ukraine. Isn’t that treason? Mr. Salzman was arrested. Also I watched on YouTube. A gentleman whistleblower that worked at Raytheon in Antarctica. Oh boy…

Got my notice Monday last week after working for 5 years. Managers are as useless as ti-s on a ox. Place is ran by nepotism and no common sense.

They have to layoff, or else the M&A does not make sense.
M&A is all about adding revenues of two companies, minus the redundancies the merger produces, thus increasing the margins.
Its is only financial engineering, not true engineering.
Business leaders are on a 3 -5 years compensation stock options, so how else can they innovate a financial improvement!
Technology development takes several years, then production, then revenue.
Please go study the offshoring of semiconductors in the last 30 years, by the geniuses of wall street. They all got rich, and Americans are now hostage to Taiwan, and now the tax dollars are needed to bring the semiconductor back. "
