Maybe I’m too optimistic, but I don’t think the layoffs were as bad as expected this year. What does that mean for 2023?

Any layoffs in Government? That part of the business is usually exempt but I heard about a number of departures.

There will always be layoffs, including mid- year, not just Bloody Thanksgiving. It doesn't matter what your job is, unless there are legal requirements that your role must be US-based, your role WILL BE eliminated. Period. It's just a matter of when.

I have seen layoffs previously in December the first week or early part of the second week.

How late into December do they typically make cuts? I always heard it was around Thanksgiving.

If the market turns up, there will be layoffs. On the other hand, if the market turns down, there will be layoffs. Merry Christmas.

Way too early to know. But based on the fact that every year I’ve been here there has been a bloody thanksgiving, my money is on there will be.

It’s a matter on how many and in what parts of the organization.
