In Louisville, Kentucky they started yesterday laying off people yesterday morning. It seems to be a first wave of layoffs. McKesson lost a Novo contract. I'm sure that's a reason as well. What is horrible is for over 2 months the employees have been asking what is gonna happen once the contract ends and they gave no information. It ends this Friday and yesterday was the first damn day they got notice. Which was also the day they started letting people go
Layoffs are happeing right now at CoverMyMeds... They're doing some major layoffs in their patient services department. Apparently, they're closing their office in Scottsdale, Arizona and moving their headquarters to Columbus, Ohio. It's a pretty rough situation for the employees there.
Honestly, the way that McKesson, the company that owns CoverMyMeds, is handling this is just plain awful. I mean, why would you want to have layoffs trickle in throughout the day and weeks? It's leaving everyone in suspense and anxiety, which is just disgusting. It's the absolute shittiest approach to layoffs I've ever seen.
In my opinion, McKesson is just a corporate glob that only cares about itself. They don't care about the people who work for them or the customers they serve. They bought CoverMyMeds and now they're just eliminating them bit by bit. It's really messed up.
It's not just one or two people getting laid off, either. There are a lot of hard-working individuals losing their jobs because some darn executive wants to keep his fat benefit and salary package. And the worst part is that there was no warning whatsoever that these layoffs were coming. They just blindsided everyone.
What's even more frustrating is that not too long ago, the company was bragging about how well things were going. And now they're doing layoffs left and right. It's a total slap in the face to everyone who works there. I really think that this McKesson executive management is not good. They should be ashamed of themselves for the way they're treating their employees. It's just not right. Karma will catch up with them eventually, though. I truly believe that their deeds will come back to bite them in the end.
It's not just the employees who are suffering, either. The customers who rely on these services are also being impacted. With CoverMyMeds shutting down their Scottsdale office, there's going to be a gap in patient services. It's frustrating because it seems like this is happening more and more these days. Corporations are putting profits over people, and it's just not fair. There needs to be some kind of accountability for these companies that are screwing over their employees and customers. All in all, the whole situation just sucks. It's not fair to the employees who are losing their jobs or the customers who are going to be impacted. And it's all because of some executive who wants to keep his cushy job and paycheck. It's just not right.
Layoffs will be announced today. Over 800 CMM employees.
