Back story: I have worked at Wells Fargo for years and often witness questionable practices and decisions due to cost-cutting, pressure to make profits, competition, system inadequacies, denial, hardheadedness, lack of knowledge, inability, greed, narcissism etc. These issues put the bank, our customers and shareholders at risk. I have raised my hand in the past and, for the most part, have discovered management doesn’t like to be second guessed.
My dream: So I dreamt that my manager’s manager called me in to his office to lay me off. He was cold and pompous as always. Told me unapologetically that WFC was letting me go due to cost-cutting. I laughed and thanked him, shook his hand and started to leave his office. He asked “Wait why do you look so happy??” I said “Oh didn’t I tell you? I was recently offered a position at the OCC .”
Silly but very satisfying. My point is that Wells Fargo should be MUCH nicer to their employees. We know where all the bodies are buried.
