Yeah EM has some very toxic management culture….all about control, they won’t do 360’s, they won’t post jobs and they don’t do work from home. The lack of reality in most 2nd level mgmt has to be worthy of a case study.

Yes it's particularly rough on minorities and LBTQ unless the toxic manager leans that way. At least women are sitting on a very distinct advantage in those games

EM is better at hiding it.
It's career su----e if you report it. Mostly swept under the rug. When it got really bad in one of my assignment, I finally had the nerve to reported it because I couldn't get the job done. They reluctantly moved me, but I had to fight for the move. Management is so clueless, they pull me back into the same situation near the perpetrator a few years later.

Separately, I had manager who I should have reported for bullying. But he was very good at hiding his trails. The bullying was always done behind closed doors so there are no witnesses. Fighting back will only mark you as a troublemaker or as someone who has tendencies for insubordination. This toxic dirt bag moved up in the ranks because he got things done through lying, bullying, denigrating, and gaslighting his direct report to get his way.

This is one of the reason why I left. I would never ever recommend a young person to come work here. Women, minorities, and LGBT should definitely stay away. EM need to seriously clean house.
