In all layoffs, the id--ts who destroyed the company are in still charge of deciding the fate of the rest.
A randomized approach produces a much better outcome than a wrong one.

Why didn’t Thanos double resources rather than halve population. Wasn’t he suppose to be smart.
Instead of a Thanos style layoff it would be more entertaining to go with Squid Games. Still a good amount of random chance but at least the employees will feel as though they have some degree of control.
Arrange rock paper scissor game. 50% Winners will stay.
How about generating a layoff site which randomly selects half the employee IDs.
Does anyone have the latest range of (lowest/highest) employee IDs?
Would be a fun game to scrape the web (LinkedIn?) for employee names and then run your script.
Or run an American idol style random poll.
I have my Python code ready, completely random regardless of ethnic, grade, location, gender etc.
Who should I talk to in order to get access to employee database?
