It's seems 50:50 in our group.
If you're under 10yrs service people seem worried, if over 15yrs people seem happy and can't wait for "the big payoff".
In-betweeners don't know which they'd prefer.
Either way it feels like half of the Fab population would be happy to move away from Intel. Altough as Fab workers, they probably won't get an offer aways 🤣

No you id--t they will use focal and packages like they did in 2016.
Given Intel's long documented history of age discrimination the more experienced will be the first to go. Whether or not the severance is a good or bad thing is up to each individual's retirement plans and finances.
feedback from what i'm seeing on the floor.
senior techs, 20+ years of service (few years from retirement)- majority want a payout.
mid techs 7-13, 1/3 would want a payout.
junior techs 1-5 years, half want a payout. (most single and no kids).
if they target fab workers, which they most likely won't, i'd target the senior guys @ 50% the junior techs @ 30% and the mid techs the least....
