Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

At least layoffs seem to be done

I haven't heard of any layoffs today which leads me to think that after two days everybody who was affected has been notified. I'll be honest, I'm almost sorry that I made it through this round. I'm one of the many who are hoping to leave Accenture and being paid to do it doesn't sound half bad.

They're never done. Entire teams can get caught up in politics between the regions - e.g if you are in US, working for Europe, US Leaders resent that that can't make you work 305 hours a week, vs. a healthy 10-12 hour day. US Leaders want your whole life....all of it and then treat you like dirt. Soooo, when they get their opportunity to influence and push their only skills- skull hunting - they will fight to push out those they cannot control and and pump billiable hours. It's a ponzi scam to feed their overinflated comp packages on the backs of Sr Mngrs and below. If you work at Accenture, you should always be looking for a job. Doesn't matter how well you think you are doing or are liked. No one is immune accept the Davos crew that is already made.

Layoffs have started. Before bonus payouts.

I will be leaving in two weeks. It's a shame how they judge employees against each other.. PP lead was useless,

They usually do it before they discuss the bonus and raise to avoid paying them. More money in the pocket of big boys playing politics. Get out of this place if you can.
