How we got through RTO was treating each other as if they were not home. Work is work. I know a number of relationships that were over due to COVID. Some people become strange when they are not forced to be social. Lots of folks got depression that ki---d the marriage. Others found out what their loved ones did all day and split up as a result;
My husband learned how much i was spending because boxes kept arriving. I did get clever. Amazon i shipped to lockers instead of home. Shipped to stores. Shipped to my sisters house. So it took some tweaking but we got use to it.
Nobody or nothing can ruin a marriage, except the two people in it, and how they deal with each other through all the ups and downs.
Life has good stuff and bad stuff. if it's not a scandal ridden employer, it's something else.
What a fun topic.
I do have to say that I’ve experienced a reputational risk due to the scandals. I often wonder about those individuals who know I work for WF might think I’m part of the problem.
I do recall feeling embarrassed when I was asked where I worked, and the individual apologized and felt sorry for me. They said all this in front of my wife.
So did WF put a strain on my marriage? Good question.
Let’s look at it this way. At one time WF was recognized as a great institution. Then, the scandals broke. People know you work for a scandalous institution. That would be challenging for a personal relationship.
I left. I’m happier. Spouse likes me more.
I met my wife during a transaction at Wells. No, not at all.
"Work from home with no breaks from each other ruined it"
THIS. And it's amazing how many people think couples are dysfunctional if they can't hang together 24/7. Some couples can, some can't.
Work from home with no breaks from each other ruined it
You and your spouse are the only ones responsible for your marriage. Always.
Financial industry itself has a high divorce rate
Turns out boinking a coworker in the supply closet isn't so good for your marriage.
The #1 cause of divorce is marriage.
After the scandals, they always teased my wife at the country club.
Contributed. Who wants to be married to someone working for a company full of scandals. Reputational risk.
RTO ruined not just my marriage but my entire life.
The pandemic and hybrid saved my marriage. Going in everyday and being gone from 6:30 to 6:30 was putting a lot of stress on tye family with two little ones.
Um, no
I'd say you probably ruined your marriage more than WF ever did
