All Front End has to train for Cafe'

Was told email came out today that the "company" wants all Front End associates trained for Cafe'. I could understand if Fresh associates had to train for Cafe' or even floor associates maybe, front end associates last but this is ridiculous. Front end has to produce at least 15 Plus and 15 Credit per day with it going to 20 and 30 per day on weekends. Is there a moratorium on Plus and Credit? Front end associates are terminated everyday on job performance, not meeting Plus and Credit goals.

You can not be terminated for not getting plus and credit,you can be terminated for not asking for plus and credit...
Furthermore let the COS'S come out of their hiding places and get some.

Our COS's all have 4 or more points one has over 7 but NOTHING will happen to her shes a Manager favorite...

Sad Sad Sad what has happened to our Company!!!!

Expect more training in other areas. This will help you adapt quickly once cashiers are eliminated.

to: @1qli+1jdjxkL8, in what universe does the front end jump on the "fresh bandwagon"??? Do you think the very moment that fresh needs help is the moment that would chosen for them to drop everything and train you?? How can you help if you don't know what you're doing??? Get real. Fresh is on their own.

We have associates in every department helping cafe it’s called team work, I guess some of you stores to don’t know what that is, we also help curbside, HMS, coolers, merchandising maybe this is why we actually have people scheduled because our people are not afraid to help other departments. Maybe if some of you other stores would be willing to work other departments you could get more people scheduled

Wear shorts or capris at work if u can… I was told if u wear them you can’t “ help” put in the cafe .. capris for me all the live long day ! Fresh dept doesn’t help anywhere else in the club yet we are all supposed to jump on the fresh bandwagon .. nope ! They get paid more ..it’s bad enough they want us to bug members all day for scan and go

Café falls under fresh, so either HMS or Rotisserie should be filling in. But that is not the problem. Like everywhere else in the club it is simply a lack of associates and training.

That being said I told associates who are made to cover the Café whether for breaks or a call out. I simply tell them be the worse you can while in the Café.

  1. Always overcharge so a key flick is required to restart the order.
  2. Never get the order right.
  3. If you have a radio leave it turned off for the first 3 calls for assistance.
  4. Constantly call over the radio asking how to do something.
  5. Call over the radio to remind everyone you have a break coming up.
  6. The longer the line the slower you should go.

This will pass like a painful kidney stone and Bentonville will still not understand you can not run the Café during the busy hours with just 2 associates and expect everyone else to assist as needed.

At my club there are just some associates who should not be anywhere near the public and some associates who's idea of hygiene is wiping their hands on their clothes.

Front end is right there and this was always the expectation so that cafe’ could get their lunches and breaks. Not something new.

The fresh departments (bakery) are so busy that they can't get their own job done,how the he-l could they go up and help cafe. Are the cafe associates coming back and helping us??? Our dept. would suffer , we also have members lining up at our door to be waited on, tables and racks to be stocked after you wrap 30 racks , no way can this happen just have a hiring event get some warm bodies in here. What a joke!!!
