Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Recommendation

Many of you started receiving additional projects from the associates that were let go. STOP 🛑 accepting more assignments. say NO! You are already overbooked, you are only compromising the quality of time with your family and quality of work product for our amazing customers. Start to document the abuse and lawyer up, just in case. We need to see lawsuits. You can’t work 80 hours a week. Ensure it is done via emails.

We brought up this matter to the leadership, we were told to manage with less. So we pass the message down, but you have the final say.

Sr Director.

You either work hard enough to retire early, or you work long enough to see yourself become the "Milton".

Have YOU seen my stapler?

I firmly believe in the "quiet Quitting" movement. its not quitting, its just not doing Extra and companies are having a hard time dealing with the fact that folks do not want to dedicate their lives to work. I work to Live not Live to work....

Never say "No." I've found what works is, "Sure; however, I'm out of bandwidth and we will need to sit down and prioritize my time." If your manager refuses to prioritize the projects, you do so, send the list to your manager with, "Here is my best guess. I will work them in order of priority. Please let me know if you have changes."

Take "everything is important" as "nothing is important," because it means the same thing, and work things in the order you prefer.

They will keep cutting until it starts biting back. Allow it to bite back.

...totally agree with the sentiment and reality of it...but don't let it lapse into scenario where you can be terminated for cause...

Yep you should work extra only if that results in some reward. You know they are going to cut you next, potentially

My manager has already alluded to “double booking” - work with one client during the day, and follow up for another after the work day.
Yeah, that’s not going to happen. I’ve already told her I can’t do that, I guess my next response will be I won’t do that.

Yes indeed. Live with your boundaries! Are they dishing out extra monthly cash for inflation??? Not that I’ve seen or received!
