I wish them luck, and I hope they have already found a better job. I’m stuck here for now, can’t afford to spend any energy on job search and I definitely can’t quit. Just having bad times, and my priority right now is to keep this job for as long as I can. The moment my circumstances change, I’ll do everything in my power to leave. Sc--w this place.

Stay until you find something or are laid off and can collect SUB. If you have contacts at other Banks or even within BNY you can subtly drop hints that you are looking for something more. I’ve known a lot of people who have moved into better positions internally and externally just based off word of mouth and a good reputation.
