There is room in our offices for RTO. Wishful thinking that the new hotel open concept space will not accommodate all of us. It will. When is everyone in every single day? At any given day, there are vac days, sick days, doc appointments, contractors coming to house, sabbaticals, leaving space for employees. And of course you will still have those outliers who have an excuse from HR to not come in to the office.
If they want us back 5 days we will fill up the new space well, but don’t expect it being at full capacity every day.
I hope they learn from AT&T's mistakes in executing their RTO and ensure they have enough capacity.
BAC just doesn't want to be first. Once JPM makes it official, this bank will probably soon follow. Only question will be if it will truly be for EVERYONE or not. As has been mentioned previously here and in numerous other threads, they've drastically reduced their amount of office space to the point they would probably need to acquire a lot more (a cost they want no part of, I'm sure) in order to be able to facilitate a full-time, 5 days a week RTO for ALL employees.
And therefore that much easier for private equity firms to pick off good bank employees. I know my flag is up.
Yeah we’re sc--wed
100% every company and local government wants it, the only ones who don't are the employees
I wouldn't be surprised but the bank no longer appears to have enough office space to support employees returning to the office 5 days a week.
I'm sure it's coming soon and the email sent to employees to announce it will be comical and full of lies. The collaboration and face to face teamwork for our clients garbage will be all over the email..blah blah. Did the bank file for bankruptcy the last few year due to hybrid? No. My team is all over the country and I'm sure that's how it is throughout the bank but they will lie to us and say face to face collaboration is what's best. Lies. They just want people in their buildings to justify the lease payments and I would respect them if the email said just that.
