Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Are we allowed to work multiple jobs?

I am coasting here for 2 years and work for 10 hours a week

I don't think I will be PIP'ed anytime soon but don't want to get fired for working another job.

Anyone else overemployed?

Yes. We all do have second and third jobs. Working from home created the opportunity for extra income by taking on another job. I have been doing it since 2020. It's all good.

When I sold my house for sale by owner, there were a half dozen real estate agents that are also full time Ford Engineers/Supervisors checking out the place with their clients. One guy drove a real nice BMW too. Working from home makes the WFH cheaters game easy. Their management must not have a clue about what they do at home.

Of course you can, only thing to worry about is getting caught. I currently work 4 jobs. 2 days jobs and 2 night jobs. totally salary is 650k. Im a LL6

Ford is not my primary job so I don’t mind if I lose it. I’m just waiting to get voluntary package and then would swap Ford for another.

Make sure to prioritize correctly. Also, I’m lucky enough to where I don’t have to go into the office so I work remotely 100% of the time.

Most importantly make sure to brown nose and su-k up to your managers. It will go a long way in helping your career.

"Do the right thing and leave the company. You obviously don't want to work for Ford. Find a job you want and take it."

They hung out the bait and you took it. My goodness people on this board are so easily triggered. If posts like this get 1 response, it's 1 too many.

You sure are allowed to run a second business while working at Ford. And you even can facilitate it with using a company m-plate vehicle with free gas and insurance.

We have someone whose been doing it for years and years, everyone is aware, and management, HR, vehicle control all cool with it.

Don't be shy.

Leave your Ford shop coat on your chair and a cup of coffee on a cup warmer. The old timers in the plant would have a co-worker leave a lite cigarette burning in an ash try.

You can technically work 2 jobs even if you are going on site and no one will notice. Just sit in your cube and have both laptops open or grab a conference room where no one bothers you. People have done it before COVID or wfh mandates. Enough of troll posts you sound boring.

Yep you can. Just do it quietly and wisely. Lots of is getting away with it!

Dual laptops. Prosper!

Most everyone on the Board of Directors works for multiple companies, what makes it okay for them and not OP? OP, do what you feel is right; work 3 jobs!

If you're asking the question, you already know the answer.

Do the right thing and leave the company. You obviously don't want to work for Ford. Find a job you want and take it.
