Does favoritism happy in all stores? In my store it is so obvious. Who do you trust to talk to? Cuz I think the store manager will talk to that group and can make your life hard

In my store the CX manager speaks to the sales of the department when there are store visits. There is favoritism but in my store it's race and gender based
I have worked in 3 different stores in the east coast. Favoritism plays a big part in who gets promoted. We have a saying in our division, “it’s all about who you know!” I have witnessed store managers fire CXM’s and keep others that can’t read a store sales report. How in the world can you allow someone to be in a CXM role and not understand business acumen?? I wish we would go back to the old ways of store visits - when each manager presented their business. Store managers can easily hide their lack of training and development. Hopefully Tony can get rid of these store managers that sit in the office all day while the store falls apart.
It’s unbelievable how much favoritism there is and shown. Leadership says it all.
In my store its also obvious…store manager has his lil team..he’s a poor looser that needs friends and ppl to su-k on him..thats what he gets but little does he know that his favorite team is making him fail, cus an executive he trust wants his spot, so this person is making him fail, being “on his side” making the wrong choices, stealing all hours and using it on their benefit.. i know all this cus this person trusts me. But yes its very obvious in my store too, but at the end everything will fall in its place.
Whenever you start to see blatant favoritism, I would brush off the old resume and start looking around, typically blatant favoritism happens in companies that have money troubles or no real strong leadership team.
