You see GS8 managers and LL6 indians now somehow managing US teams in a completely different timezone.

Firstly I was born in this country and am mot Indian. Secondly, white people are not being denied jobs because of DEI. Veterans don't count as DEI? White men are not victims, your rights are being denied. All of this boils down to whites not wanting to become the minority and face the same graciousness that they bestowed on others. Hopefully the browns don't dance around trees with their children keeping your body parts for trophies.
And in the end, no matter what you will be the minority. Dun, dun, dun!!!

The stories I could tell about our "wonderful" workforce in India. Look, I cannot even blame their culture, or them, about their sh!tty performance. I have to blame our management.
We'd have the same quality workforce, the same issues, if we'd hire the dreggs of the American workers, or the ones finishing college in the last places, with no idea of the real world. And that's precisely what Ford is doing in India. We care about headcount, not about the quality of that headcount. We care to hire cheap labour, cheap even in India, so we cannot even get the average Indian worker.
Managers love the Indian workforce because they say yes to every single stoopid idea, until they have to ask the American workforce to do the actual job. The indian workers get a job, having to stand the stoopidity of our managers, and hoping to get a resume good enough to find a better place soon. For most of them, Ford is just a "quick stop".
So who hires cheaper than cheap in India, knowing the workers will move on as soon as they can, that they are inexperienced, and that they don't care about the company? Management... and you could trace it all the way to the top, because there is no freakking way that an LL6 hires in India (many prefer hiring in America) without the approval of the bigger ups, who are forcing an attrition on the NA workforce.

DEI or any other name has been embraced by Ford for over 30 years. Anyone who was there in the 90s saw it kick into high gear under Jack the kn--e. Ford had one good CEO in 35 years and that was Mulally.
Because of government over regulations we have these complicated and expensive powertrains. Almost every I and V engine is GTDI. I won’t own one. Give me a push rod V8 truck with VCT and a 6 speed manual or auto.
The EV mind set will be the downfall of Ford. They cancelled small cars, cancelled the edge. Have blown 10 billion on EVs. I have no idea when the EV losses will stop. Imagine if they had done the Toyota model.
But yet Billy and Fartley still run the co. They hated ICE and fired most of the engineering associated with it.

The sad thing is there are many older people Ford shítcanned before they were ready to retire, who can’t relocate for various reasons, who WOULD work at Ford again for a few more years.
But Ford doesn’t allow that.
