Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Volume Change in your store

So….I used to work in the Atlanta division stores and was just snooping around on the Buy Online/Pick Up in store feature and typed in Atlanta and damn, what happened to Lenox Square in that their volume in Mens/Womens/Kids is as equal as the Perimeter Mall location?

Also I noticed Greenville’s location’s volume is a lot lower than what it used to be.

I know Lenox used to be at least a 65M box but having two buildings may not be sustainable anymore.

Man times have changed either for Macy’s or the mall.

Shout out to Perimeter and MoG!

Mark has a vision...but his hands are tied to a dying company. Ive worked at almost every store in the area and it just KEEPS going down hill. Lenox will never get back to its former glory, despite having the most loyal staff. I feel for them. And pray to GOD I get a severance soon.
Truth be told...there are just too many stores and not enough staff. And no one is being vocal about it. Be honest; GA only needs Lenox, Perimeter, MOG, the 2 MBM...and if they actually had a real vision...open a MBM in Macon. We are over saturated.

I told everyone a Year ago "Tony Spring is going to gut this company like a fish". I saw what he did to Bloomies when I worked there. Havent been wrong yet.

Mark was promoted to Regional back in 2020 before covid. Laurie got that by default.
She then proceeded to fire everyone that Mark had nurtured.

Um, not true. He wasn't promoted to Regional until Jan 2024 when we went from four to three regions. He was a DVP in Texas from 2020 to 2023, then he came back to GA as a DVP in that market replacing Lori.

Lenox Square Mall went from a high end luxury mall, to a high end luxury mall with ghetto gang thugs shoplifting and breaking into cars and robbing people in the parking lot, plus they had shootings and a store was robbed in the mall in the last few years, so most of the upper class people from the suburbs stopped shopping there, I heard it's getting a little better, but not much.

That’s a damn shame! The Atlanta Division was such a money maker for the company and to see the stores lose so much momentum is asinine.

But your division isn’t the only one suffering.

DMV South in the house!

Whomever decided that Lauri should be DVP over Mark made a terrible decision. She ran the division in the ground. They got rid of her about 2 years ago now but the damage was done. This type of mismanagement has happened company wide with unqualified people being put in positions that they should not be in company wide. Hence the current state of Macy’s being the new sears.
