Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Glassdoor Ratings

Why is it Truist has lower ratings on Glassdoor relative to other banks? Is the employee experience that much worse? Curious what others have to say.

Our retail RL in AL doesn’t give a rip about us in retail. GN is a clear representation of how much Truist don’t care about us. Unprofessional and disrespectful, exactly what they want. Everyone in our LOB talks about this level of leadership when they are contemplating leaving. The bank doesn’t care and most importantly, the senior leadership doesn’t either that’s why they install these people.

How ironic for a company that touts that it “cares”

Could be their CEO who only has a 45% approval rating on Glassdoor.

It is worse here. Other banks treat you like a human. At other banks there is coffee in the break room, tissues, hand sanitizer, office supplies, headsets, web cams, a holiday meal/end of year celebration, etc. but not here. They have pinched every last penny just about. Legacy people are miserable and new people are sidelined. No one cares what happens to you. You better figure it out yourself and fast.

I can say some of that is going to be the level of extreme bitterness amongst the heritage employees (the pre merger people) . Once I got to a group that didn't have that baggage it's fine, very similar to every other corp or this size I've worked with.
