Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T is more concerned about its RTO policy and monitoring employees 5 days a week in the office. There is no mandate to innovate.

"He11 there is no mandate to serve customers"
I agree the higher ups don't prioritize customer service like they should, but it is also a pretty meaningless goal as written. They still make it one of our goals every year. Serve customers how? What does that look like on a day to day basis? Concrete goals with measurable results are good. Nebulous phrases that sound good but allow for spending cuts and staff shortages are bad.

He11 there is no mandate to serve customers or build the network on time. As long as you accomplish nothing in the right building, leadership is thrilled.
