Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

When are they coming for the field?

When is my hatchet coming? It's the question we have all asked ourselves. I am no different. When are they coming for the TAM/field? Will it be Membership Reps first or both MRs and FRs at the same time? Will they continue to dwindle down the markets and keep having the NPM reps take the territory from the local reps?

With all that is expected from an FR since the SMP rollout I can only imagine how much quality is going to suffer in the future. The foundation of this company was based on quality for many many years and upper management doesn’t have a clue what FRs face in a home. It’ll be interesting to see future audit results from this new method of hybrid FRs. Guess who will take the fall? Obviously the FRs.

Hearing people discuss the importance of FR’s and MR’s is similar to someone discussing how innovative the cassette tape section is at Radio Shack.

Time has moved on so just be glad you rode it out this long. Now move on from this antiquated company and find some self respect again.

who ever pitched this idea of taking away recruitment from MRs, and then putting all the responsibility on the FRs if a home backs out, and also against the FRs rating if they have to change the status from in-progress to incomplete or whatever, should be punched in the face. And also the person that decided to cap the FR bonus but then counter it with an install bonus, and then also introduce a remote install so that the FR loses out on potential install bonus. What. The. F**k. I can't tell if it's the corporate owners or just terrible leadership elsewhere making these decisions. It's hurting their workforce more than anything else, and don't let any d-mb pulse survey tell your otherwise.

It's like they only care about installs, and are expecting FRs, MRs, and PRSs to stay no more than 3 years before quitting and replacing.

In my personal opinion, I’d think MRs should be counting their days. They are pushing remote recruitment, especially with this SMP cr-p. MRs are already suffering from the disconnected leaders thinking this is the “future of Nielsen”. Like the other poster said, some FRs will probably inevitably be cut, and field areas dispersed amongst the other FRs (NPM or regular market). With the direct ship initiative up and running, I’d predict they’ll rely on a lot on remote installs as well. It’s a sad future for the people who are the actual backbone of the company.

Not sure if you are an MR or FR, but I want to say FRs are the safest. I’m not going to sit here and say they are going to layoff ALL US staff because I really think they are going to need those field people. Is every single FR safe? Probably not. But you are safer than pretty much every other US employee.

MRs on the other hand…
