They want to get rid of as many of us as possible for free. The short-term trend is clear as day - reduce the costs, fluff up the profits, extract money, offshore everybody and their mothers, replace workers with speaking cans, and enjoy while it lasts. Nobody is giving cr-p about the long-term prospects. This looks to me like the final money rush before everything falls apart.

This company is clueless about anything other than putting the Dell name on products. Spend $64b to buy EMC and proceed to dismantle and undermine EMC's processes, that while not the cheapest, led to being the superior products in their market space. Then, as you destroy that company and demoralize the legacy EMC employees, you decide to sell the VMware prize to Broadcom. MD and others raked in billions, shareholders got a little reward and now, Broadcom treats us like cr-p, just like any other hardware vendor. We make a slim profit on servers, similar to PCs, ruin EMC's software products by outsourcing them to HCL and here we are, on the cusp of mediocrity. No vision other than 'AI this, AI that' when the true profits are going to the component vendors. Don't even get me started on our truly visionary CSG product renaming. Who the h3ll thought that following Apple's Pro and Pro Max naming was a brilliant idea? Oooo, I forgot, we removed the circle around 'Dell'. What a truly ignorant path our EL team is on...
"they were never ACTUAL players in the AI battle"
This was so glaringly obvious. MD is AI as much as Gates is Medicine
It’s true. Dell lost the cloud battle, lost the storage battle, and now is losing the PC refresh battle, and of course, they were never ACTUAL players in the AI battle. Terrible policies like No Returns, and customer support that goes as smoothly as a root canal, and a workforce that is beyond miserable due to forced attrition methods is causing customer churn. He-l, half the people I talk to on the sly cheer when the stock drops. They hate it here that much, but the current job market is so rough they just stay and continue to suffer in the name of paying their monthly bills. This company will continue to cut rather than innovate and offshore rather than bolster and inspire. It’s quite the obvious meltdown.
