I recently left, and every NRE/RE person I know has said that if they were my age (30s), they’d be doing the same thing. For those under 45 or so, do you want to be one of those people wistfully thinking if they could have been somewhere else?

This is why I left. I'm under 40 and just couldn't see how I could survive another ~15 years with the way the Dec 2020 layoffs happened. Zero trust in the promise I was sold about a long term career. Always ranked in top 1/3 or O or OwD.
NRE here just waiting until the end of the year.
I can't drive 55.....I'll be stuck there until I'm armadillo fodder
