Benefits Double Dip?

How is it fair to treat two employees who are married as separate on benefits vs as a family? So, say wife has herself and kids on her plan - so family rate - then hubby has to have himself on his own as he is an employee stand-alone - how is that fair or even justified?

Look at pricing for Employee+ kids. Look at employee+kids+spouse. Then Look at employee+kids on one plan and spouse on another. Problem solved. Its cheaper.

His wife may have chosen just her and the kids which is an option. If she chose her, spouse and children then he is covered already, and they can't make him get the insurance.

They should enact rule where only 1 spouse works here. Fire the other

This BS it’s like taxes. If you don’t fully understand it, hire a professional like I do. I don’t have the time or the interest in all this administrative drama.

He doesn't have to add coverage for himself if he is added to the wife's family plan.
